Tokyo is famously one of the most expensive cities to live in the world, and appartment rental market is sometime difficult to understand. It is traditionally a seller market (Landlords often claim fee just to move in and to renew contract every 2 years) and demand for Tokyo is always increasing, but past real states bubble bursts and population decrease in Japan may provide some price pressure relief.
Anyway, when searching for appartments in Tokyo, I have always wanted to get a better idea about where to search, and I hope this map will help others also. In collaboration with Tokyo Cheapo, I put together the data to make this map of tokyo rent prices. Please check and don't hesitate to leave some feedback.
